Intro
Délma is a studio of highly passionate people with a diverse academic and professional experience in Kosovo, Italy and Switzerland. We work across architecture, interiors, landscape, and urban design – not as separate disciplines, but as parts of the same conversation. Based in Kosovo and collaborating internationally, our studio explores how built environments can be more sensitive, more sustainable, and more responsive to all those who inhabit them.
We started délma with a simple idea: that good architecture should resonate quietly, it should serve, inspire, and belong. Our projects are shaped by place, guided by research, and grounded in a deep respect for context. Whether we’re designing a public space or a private home, we approach each project with curiosity, precision, and care.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. Every site has its own logic, every client their own needs, and every place its own story. What we aim to do is listen, observe, and respond, with designs that are thoughtful, enduring, and attuned to the everyday lives they touch.
Philosophy
At délma, architecture is not a static object, it is a living framework for human experience. Every project begins with a question, not an answer: What does this place want to be, and what will it mean to those who inhabit it over time?
Our approach is rooted in three constants: context, time, and people. Context grounds us, the landscape, the climate, and the cultural layers that give a place its soul. Time humbles us, reminding us that buildings must evolve, weather, and adapt long after we are gone. People inspire us, their rituals, needs, and dreams are what give a space life.
We design with restraint and purpose, favoring clarity over excess, and permanence over trend. Materials are chosen not for novelty, but for their ability to age gracefully, to tell a richer story with each passing season. We draw from the proportions, harmony, and craftsmanship of traditional and classical architecture, reinterpreting these principles in a contemporary language that belongs to our time.
Sustainability, for us, is not a separate goal but an inseparable condition of good design. It means integrating passive design approaches, using less but thinking more, shaping spaces that work hard yet feel effortless. It means designing not just for today, but for decades to come.
